Modern Anime started back in 1956 and amassed huge success in the late 1960s. Best Anime Series has a huge following and loved by people from all over the world. Multiple anime produced and released every year with only a few making it to the top.
What is it that makes a few anime so interesting? Is it the dialogues, characters, or plot? In short, there is no single way to determine this. A single anime series can be loving and hating by hundreds at the same time. We do not state that the animes listed here fall under the best anime series and others do not.
Watching and Rewatching some of my favorite animes of all time, made me confident to state my opinion here. Here is our collection of the Top 10 best anime. We hope you like it.

1. One Piece –
One Piece is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Eiichiro Oda. The story revolves around Monkey D.Luffy, a boy whose body gained the properties of rubber after having a devil fruit.
He explores Grand Line with his pirate crew in search of the deceased King of Pirates Gol D Roger’s treasure known as “one-piece” in order to be the next King of Pirates.
2. Naruto –
The renowned naruto is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto. Naruto won the hearts of many people with its incredible storyline. It is still one of the most popular anime series of all time. As the name goes, “Naruto”, is the protagonist of the series and the series revolves around him.
Naruto is a young ninja who lost his parents at a young age and dreams of being Hokage, the leader of his village. With his sheer determination, perseverance, and hard work, he manages to win the hearts of the people around him.
3. Death Note –
This is a Japanese manga series written by Tsugumi Ohba and illustrated by Takeshi Obata. Death Note is one of the highest-rated anime of all time. The story revolves around Yagami Light. Ryuk drops the “death note” into the human world for his own amusement and is found by Yagami Light.
Ryuk and Yagami share a common belief: “Their worlds are rotten”. Aware of his godlike powers, Yagami takes it upon himself to create a world without crime or criminals. However, things take a turn at the end and everything falls apart. Check out the series for the ending.
4. Dragon Ball-
This is a Japanese media franchise create by Akira Toriyama in 1984. Dragon ball inspired by the Chinese novel Journey to the West combined with Hong Kong martial arts. The series revolves around Goku in the initial parts of the story.
In the beginning, the series follows the adventures of Goku from his childhood to adulthood as he trains in martial arts. In the later parts of the story, he meets a girl named Bulma, who encourages him to join her pursuit in exploring the world and searching for the 7 orbs known as Dragon balls.
5. Bleach –
Bleach is a Japanese anime web series. It is written by Masashi Sogo, Tsuyoshi Kida, and Kento Shimoyama. The series revolves around Ichigo Kurosaki and his adventures as a soul reaper.
When Ichigo’s family attacked by a Hollow, Ichigo becomes a soul reaper with the promise of protecting the innocent and helping the tortured spirits to find peace.
6. My Hero Academia –
My Hero Academia is one of the world’s most popular manga and is definitely one of the best anime of all time. The story revolves around Izuku Midoriya and his aspirations of becoming a hero.
In a world where those with powers are known as “Quirks”, Izuku dreams of being a hero like his Idol,” All Might” but, things don’t go as plan as Izuku does not possess any special powers. Izuku’s life takes a turn when he enrolled in U.A. School – a school that cultivates the next generation of superheroes.
7. Tokyo Revengers –
Tokyo Revengers is a manga series written and illustrated by Ken Wakui. This series has it all from good music and great production to everything. The protagonist of the story is “Takemichi Hanagaki”, a freelancer who has reached the absolute pits of despair in this life.
He later finds out that his ex-girlfriend murdered by a gang named Tokyo Manji Gang. He’s standing at the station, the day after hearing her death and ends up pushed over by a group of people. He somehow goes back 12 years, living the best days of his life. Takemichi decides to get revenge in his life.
8. Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba –
Demon Slayer is a Japanese manga based on written and illustrated by Koyoharu Gotouge. The story deals with a young boy’s quest to save his sister amid a brutal war between humans and demons.
Demon Slayer became one of the most popular and highest-grossing series in Japan. Demon Slayer’s plot follows the journey of Tanjirou Kamado, a kind-hearted teen who upon returning home finds his entire family slaughtered and his sister turned into a blood-thirsty demon. He swears to become a top-class demon slayer and avenge her. Demon Slayer is one of my personal favorites and is definitely one of the best anime series
9. Attack in titan –
Attack on Titan is a Japanese manga written and illustrate by Hajime Isayama. The story takes place in a town that surrounded by three gigantic walls which protect the people from enormous man-eating humanoids referred to as “Titans”.
The story follows Eren Yeager, the protagonist of the story who vows to finish off the Titans after a Titan destroys his hometown and causes the death of his mother. Attack on Titan has won several awards including the Kodansha Manga Award, and Harvey Award among others.
10. Fullmetal Alchemist –
Fullmetal Alchemist won the hearts of many people with its incredible plot and storyline. During the 9th Animation Kobe Awards, Alchemist won the TV feature award. There are two versions of the Fullmetal Alchemist, one being the Fullmetal Alchemist series which came out in 2003, and Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which released in 2009.
The series mostly revolves around Edward Elric, a young, brilliant alchemist, and his brother Alphonse and their journey to find the Philosopher’s Stone. Edward and his brother, try to resurrect their dead mother through a forbidden spell during which, Edward loses his brother as well as two of his limbs.
With the hope of restoring his and his brother’s body back to normal, Edward embarks upon the quest of looking for the Philosopher’s Stone but, things are not easy as it seems for there is a lot more than what meets the eye.
