NFL World Reacts to  Dak Prescott Surprising Decision

When Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott fractured his right thumb in Sunday night's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, initial reports were he would be out six to eight weeks.

Jerry Jones, on the other hand, expects Prescott will return sooner.

During a radio interview on 105.3 The FM on Tuesday morning, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones made an unexpected move.

Dallas will not place Prescott on injured reserve because Jones feels he can return in the next four games.

He stated that they "feel better" about Prescott's prognosis tonight than they did the night before.

Onlookers, on the other hand, do not believe Prescott will return so soon.

After all, this accelerated timeline is coming from the same individual who declared he has to think one plus one equals three.

During the following five weeks, the Cowboys will face each of their NFC East opponents, with the other games coming against last year's AFC and NFC champions.

To stay in the postseason chase, Dallas needs at least tread water before Prescott's return. For the time being, the defending division champions are relying on Cooper Rush to hold down the fort.

The Cowboys will almost probably be without Prescott on Sunday when they visit the Cincinnati Bengals.
